Sunday on Meet the Press US Senator Barack Obama (not to be confused with Osama Bin Laden) announced that he may seek the Dem. parties nomination for the 2008 Pres. Election. Now exactly what does this mean? As a conspiracy theorist this is my thoughts on it.
Although in no form shape or fashion do I think that Obama wouldn't make an excellent candidate and one of the best to run in some time. But the truth of the matter is, is America ready to take this step? For some reason I think not. The poor white red necks of the country would vote against him well just cause. Big Money aka Big Business would vote against him well because he is a Democrate. and well the rest of us would just be skeptical.
At this point if he were to run I think it would almost assuredly secure another 4 years for the Republicans. Why because like it or not America is still color blind. Besides what kind of message would we be sending to the rest of the world if we in fact had a black president with an Islamic name. Wait a minute...hmmmmm. Maybe America would look more tolerant of people of color. Maybe the policy towards the Middle East would subside and maybe just maybe we could start to heal the middle east instead of tearing it apart.
Okay, now that I have awaken from my euphoric dream state, lets continue. Obama is an excellent senator if you have ever listened to him speak you can't help but feel this. I for one would vote for Barack Obama in the Election should he run simply because I believe that what the US needs is a drastic change in order to start rebuilding our image. You can bvet your house and family on the fact that you will hear more from me concerning this issue as for now... That's all Folks!

Barack Obama... hmm... can't say that I've actually studied his agenda or that I've followed his career, but I can say that I believe you may be correct in stating his potential announcement for the 2008 Presidential candidacy somewhat intriguing. I for one would like to see Colin Powell run for President and Obama as his Vice. Now to me that would be a true dynamic bipartisan team of brothers running "thangs." I have to say this about Powell because I think a lot of people call him a "sell-out" for being a republican. While he was under Clinton, the two budded heads over the military, his role as Joint Chief, and Clinton’s indescretions, he therefore took the early retirement resignation. We also know that he and Bush budded heads with Rumsfield/Cheney (Rumsfield and Cheney were hot on Iraq as Powell told Bush no one had a real exit strategy, just a depose or get Saddam strategy and everything else will work itself out) and also ultimately world affairs (Powell attempted to convince Bush not to be so hasty and to give the U.N. its role instead of ostracizing America with the world nations). I think more people of the world (America) trust Powell. He may be a republican, but he's a true democrat at heart. I believe he would get a majority of the white vote that would normally not vote for a black man and with Barack Obama as his VP that would just secure the Democratic vote (Black folks, Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, women, gay and lesbian - if such a thing exists, and whoever else is not considered normal). All in all even though Powell is a republican, he’s black and he doesn’t think like the majority of the republicans. I belive if this country allowed two black men to clean up the current mess, well, just maybe we can finally get those reparations… but who would want the responsibility of fixing such a chain of historic global catastrophes? Not me.
Well I too am a Fan of Colin Powell, but for my own reasons.
I like Colin, at one time I had thought he had just sold his soul. When I saw him on TV trying to convince the world that there where in fact WMD's in Iraq. I couldn't understand why a man as strong and as intelligent as he is would sit there and recite this garbage. You could tell by looking at his eyes he didn't believe a word of it. Then following his resignation I understood. Colin is a soldier and as a soldier he will follow orders without question, but when given the opportunity to express his personal beliefs he walked away and that restored my faith in him. Now on the other hand it opened the way for the succubus to gain power. this sister is a good example of what is going wrong with black people today. but that is another story.
As for the Two of them together I think that would be a great partnership.
